Unit X Industry Collaboration with Studio Airport This project explores worldbuilding and storytelling through physical design, expanding the universe of The Walking Dead beyond the screen. Set in the early years of the apocalypse, the work follows the fragmented narrative of a 15-year-old boy — a lone survivor grappling with loss, isolation, and the discovery that he may be immune to the infection. Through artifacts like bloodstained journals, aged polaroids, typewritten letters, maps, and a fictional newspaper, the story unfolds through physical media that might realistically survive in a post-apocalyptic world. Each piece was hand-aged using techniques like coffee staining, burning, and ink bleeding to ensure authenticity and emotional texture. The project was developed in collaboration with Dutch design studio Studio Airport, with a focus on immersive narrative design, emotional worldbuilding, and artifact curation. Every object reflects a lived experience ,building a story not just told, but found.
