A reinterpretation of the classic novel American Psycho through an editorial zine, this project explores the novel’s critique of consumer culture and the progressive unraveling of Patrick Bateman’s psyche. Each spread focuses on a different theme — from his obsessive but soft-spoken morning routine, to the infamous business card scene revealing his envy and perfectionism, to a deranged, chaotic vision of Wall Street through Bateman’s fractured mind. The editorial uses carefully considered layouts, bold typography, and layered imagery to visually represent the psychological shifts in Bateman’s character. It reflects the tension between aesthetic control and emotional collapse, presenting a stylised but disturbing take on identity, masculinity, and the hollow glamour of capitalist excess.
